Awarded by Local Council

In 2016 I was awarded the 'Richard Hall Memorial Award' by Warwickshire County Council for 'Inspiring young people' with the work I do.  

Passed Driving Test

I passed my driving test after 5 months of lessons on April 1st 2017. I have now completed a full year of driving without any accidents. Long may that last!

After 15 months of training in my apprenticeship I have been awarded my Teaching Assistant Level 2 award.

I am working with a non-profit social enterprise called act for autism on various opportunities, such as seminars, workshops and film projects. 


Featured on BBC Midlands Today

Over Easter 2018, I worked with Act for Autism on a film project to create a film to raise awareness of ASC and show teachers how to handle it in the classroom. Please take a look at the clip above to learn more.

Sensory Talk at Act For Autism seminar

In may 2018, I was very fortunate to be invited to speak at an Act For Autism seminar about my sensory experiences. Have a watch of my speech. 

'Autism Voices' - An award winning film!

I an very pleased to share that our film 'Autism Voices' was entered into the Golden Door Film Festival in New York and received the 'Light it up blue award'. We sent our producer Joy Harrison out to receive the award on our behalf. 

S.T.A.M.P. Music Video

I am really excited to share that I recently got to work with SpOt drama and Phonics hub to support 6 very talented, young people to create a music video to 'This is me - The Greatest Showman'.  This film project was premiered in Coventry on Friday 26th October.


Nominated for NAS Award

Act for Autism were nominated for an award at the Autism Professionals Awards 2019. This award was for the most creative community project. Our main project being the award winning short film, Autism Voices.  We are very proud to have been a finalist over 200 other nominations. 

NAS Professionals Conference 2019

Act for Autism held a talk at the NAS Professionals Conference, and premiered our award winning short film, autism voices. Some of the cast were invited up to the conference as guest speakers to host a Q&A after the film. 

Anna Kennedy Online AutismExpo

Act for Autism were fortunate enough to have had a chance to speak at the 2019 Autism Expo down in London. We showcased our award winning short film, and I attended on behalf of our wonderful cast to host a Q&A.

Autism Film - 2019

This Easter I have been very fortunate to be working with Act for Autism in creating another short film. 

 

I have been coordinating workshops and drama based activities to suit the needs of 13 ASC students with ages ranging from 10-18.

Interviewed on Live TV!

Once finishing off on-set of this years short film, myself, Pernille (AFA Student), and Tessa (AFA Founder) headed straight for the BBC television studios. We were interviewed live on 'Midlands Today' about the project.
